Talented young singers from across the North East join National Youth Choirs of Great Britain (NYCGB) for a weekend of intensive singing workshops at Ushaw. Organised as part of Durham Vocal Festival in collaboration with all 6 North East Music Education Hubs, the young singers, aged 11-14, have all been nominated by their teachers and music services to take part in the free weekend.

Over the course of the two days, the participants will focus on their singing and musicianship, culminating in a free performance for family and friends on the Sunday afternoon. This project is part of a wider partnership between NYCGB and the Music Hubs in the region aiming to help more of the region’s talented young singers have the courage and confidence to fulfil their musical potential.
