East Area Music Group Christmas Concert

Dear parents/carers,

I’m delighted to invite you to our East Durham Christmas Concert at Wellfield High School, North Road, Wingate, TS28 5AX. This concert will be on Wednesday 6^th December 18:00 – 19:00 and will showcase a variety of Music Groups from across East Durham. Could all performers arrive for 17:30 please.

We would love for your child to take part in this event and for you to join us for an evening of festive music.

N.B Due to the venue capacity we are only able to offer 2 tickets per child performing.

Senior Wind Band Christmas Concert

Senior Wind Band will be playing at Carrville Methodist Church on Friday 8th December. A lively evening of festive music for wind band, to get everyone in a Christmassy mood! Concert starts at 7 p.m. - no ticket required. Donations to be taken to cover costs and fund the band. Pupils please arrive at 6 p.m.
DMS Whitworth Park Rock and Pop Band

This group is open to pupils in the Spennymoor area who play guitars, drums, keyboards or sing. We rehearse every Thursday from 3-4pm at Whitworth Park Academy and prepare songs for live performances across the school year. This group is open to students working at Grade 3 upwards in guitars, drums, keyboards, vocals.
DMS Stars Band and Wind Band Christmas Showcase

DMS Stars Band and Wind Band Christmas Showcase is a fun, festive concert, featuring performances from DMS Stars Band Consett and DMS Consett Wind Band, as well as some of our talented soloists. Pupils please arrive at 4.30 p.m. +

DMS Youth Orchestra & Senior Wind band Orchestras live workshop

Orchestras live will be leading a creative composition work shop where musicians will be writing their own composition alongside some members from the Halle Orchestra. This will be performed at Darlington Hippodrome as a curtain raiser performance before the Halle take to the stage. Workshops are on Saturday 20th and Saturday 27th January 2024 between 10am and 4pm at Ushaw College.
Consett Academy Christmas Concert

DMS Stars Band Consett and DMS Consett Wind Band are delighted to have been invited to perform in the Consett Academy Christmas Concert. We are looking forward to a great evening of festive music alongside other fabulous performers.
Darlington DMS Christmas Concert

Darlington Music Groups; Darlington Training Choir, Darlington String Orchestras and the Darlington Stars Band are all celebrating Christmas with this festive event in the centre of the town! Showcasing the talent of Darlington young musicians and celebrating Christmas together will make for a very special occasion!
Mid Durham Music Group Celebration

A Christmas Concert showcasing 5 of our Durham Ensembles. Durham Music Group Christmas Celebration will showcase our amazing Stars and City Wind Band, Stars and City Orchestra and the newly formed Jazz Jam!
Durham Music East Durham Strings

Come and join in with a brand new fun friendly group especially for violins, viola's and cellos of ALL abilities in East Durham! We will meet weekly during term time, to play together learning pieces of music, along with playing musical games and generally having a lovely musical time! We aim to share our skills to families and friends with at least 2 performances each year.
DMS Dene Academy and Affiliates AS Band

After School rock/pop group. A fantastic chance for like minded students from Dene Academy and surrounding schools to get together, socialise, learn contemporary music and perform on a regular basis.
DMS Darlington Rocks

DMS Darlington Rocks is a weekly twilight session run by specialist Rock & Pop tutors at Hummersknott Academy for students of grade 3 or above on drums, guitar and vocals.
