DMS Stars Orchestra Durham

DMS Stars orchestra (Formerly Durham First Orchestra) is a fun and friendly music group who meet together every Monday at Durham Johnston School.

We welcome all violinists, violists, cellists and double bassists who have been playing their instrument for one year onwards.

This is often the very first orchestra our pupils play in and we play musical games, fun pieces and learn how to play together in a group.

We aim to have a concert at the end of each term to show off their wonderful pieces to their families. This year will include performing at the Sage Concert Hall!

Our students can move up into the Durham City Orchestra when they reach Grade 2 standard.

Rehearsals happen weekly during term time on Mondays between 4.00 pm and 5.15 pm.

Instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass.

Level: DMS Stars Level (after one year of playing your instrument) to Grade 1
