Durham Music Training Choir

Durham Music Training Choir is open to anyone aged 9-14 who loves to sing! Our rehearsals overlap with the Durham Music Youth Choir, so you get to sing some mixed voice music in harmony too.

Recent Training Choir experiences have included singing in a professional opera at the Gala Theatre, Durham; with the orchestra and soloists of Opera North at the Hippodrome in Darlington, and in a special service for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in Durham Cathedral.

Rehearsal happen weekly during term time Thursdays 4.00 pm - 5.15 pm.

DMS Youth Voice Solo Performance Showcase

Durham Music Service Youth Voice Committee presents our first ever 'Solo Performance Showcase'. Do you sing or play an instrument? We have decided to create an event to allow you to come along and perform any piece of your choosing. This can be any level and can be accompanied or just you playing on your own. If you're a singer in a band at school, bring them along too!

DMS St Bede's Peterlee Rock Band

St Bede's Peterlee Rock Band is open to any secondary school pupil looking to play in a rock band! Playing or singing in a group is a brilliant experience: There's the chance to make new friends during rehearsals, develop new musical skills and celebrate success at special performances with friends and family. All instruments welcome! Tuesday afternoons during term time 3.15 - 4.00pm at St Bede's Catholic School, Peterlee.
DMS Whitworth Park Rock and Pop Band

This group is open to pupils in the Spennymoor area who play guitars, drums, keyboards or sing. We rehearse every Thursday from 3-4pm at Whitworth Park Academy and prepare songs for live performances across the school year. This group is open to students working at Grade 3 upwards in guitars, drums, keyboards, vocals.
Durham Music East Durham Strings

Come and join in with a brand new fun friendly group especially for violins, viola's and cellos of ALL abilities in East Durham! We will meet weekly during term time, to play together learning pieces of music, along with playing musical games and generally having a lovely musical time! We aim to share our skills to families and friends with at least 2 performances each year.
