About us

The term ‘Durham Music” or ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to Durham Music Service and Durham Music Trust who are the owners of the website whose registered office is Ushaw College, Durham, DH7 9RH.

Durham Music Trust is the charitable arm of Durham Music Service and is set up as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (charity registration number 1169848). The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of our website.

We reserves the right to modify or revise these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes on this page. You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any updates we make, as they are legally binding.

Use of the Website

Any user may access and use the Website without registering your details with us.  Users should only use the Website in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and in a manner which does not infringe the rights of any other Website user, nor restrict or inhibit their use and enjoyment of the Website. Durham Music reserves the right to restrict any access to the Website without prior notice.

 

In order to subscribe and become a friend of Durham Music, you will need to become a registered member of the website which will be completed as part of the form you complete.  The personal information you provide must be accurate to the best of your knowledge.  Should you choose to make a monthly subscription through the website, you are responsible for keeping your personal details such as name, address and bank details up to date and accurate.

Services and Transactions

You can use durhammusic.org.uk to access information about our organisation, charity, how we operate, our staff, ensembles, programmes, partners, concerts, news and events, and how you can support us. Our website also allows you to create an account with us so that you can make donations and complete subscription transaction online.

One-off monetary transactions made on durhammusic.org.uk are handled by Stripe. Monies are transferred to Durham Music Trust by Stripe, minus a 1.4% +20p fee for European cards, and a 2.9% + 20p fee for non-European cards.

Direct Debit payments made on durhammusic.org.uk are handled by GoCardless. Monies are transferred to Durham Music Trust by GoCardless, minus a fee of 1% per transaction up to a maximum of £2 and a minimum of 20p. 

You can also use links provided on durhammusic.org.uk to indirectly purchase tickets and services from other providers such as box offices at concert venues. These providers will have their own privacy policies and terms & conditions, which you should read before you use their services.

Content

The content on durhammusic.org.uk, including all photographs, logos, branding and other forms of our visual identity are subject to copyright law. We have received parental/guardian consent for all children and young people whose images and quotations appear on durhammusic.org.uk, and this consent does not extend beyond durhammusic.org.uk without specific permission. If you wish to reproduce something from our website, you must contact us, although we reserve the right to deny permission.
