Durham Music is delighted to be joining forces with Make Music Day once more. Our 'Big Play' is all about celebrating everyday music making; in the classroom, playground, practice room, at home-live or virtually!  In 2019 nearly 18000 young people from Durham and Darlington made music for Make Music Day and we can't wait to see what 2021 will bring! 

 

Your school can join in with Make Music Day on the 21st June, or any day that week, in two ways: 

 

1.          Your own school event: This can be live or pre-recorded to share on your web and socials.
2.          Join schools from all over the world in the first ever Make Music Day Global Big Sing!

• Performances within your school music lesson  
• Performances by instrumentalists in school  
• Playground Singing  

• Join in with DMS 15 minutes of Music at 9:15. Live on YouTube  
• Whole School Singing  
• MMD Schools Global Big Sing using our amazing MMD Charanga Unit
