DMS Youth Voice Committee

WE NEED YOU - To continue to develop Youth Voice within DMS, we are recruiting Secondary pupils aged 11-18 to be part of our current Youth Committee.

We are looking for pupils across the county who feel they can make a contribution to DMS by being part of this group that will be working alongside staff to share their thoughts and ideas on how we can provide the best service for them.

Last year, committee members met two to three times per term to provide feedback on areas within our service and shared their ideas for a project to work on.  They decided on working on a Solo Performance Musical Showcase to take place in the summer term which was a great success.  Their new project for last year was a themed playing day featuring the music of "Stage and Screen".

Future session dates will be advised. You will meet our existing committee who will give you a run-down of how we work, some of their ideas in progress and their successes from last year.  Along with being a member of the committee, members have so far had the opportunity to develop their skills within music production and developing conducting skills.  This year we would like you to work alongside members of the DMS Leadership Team to share thoughts and develop ideas that would improve our service and have a positive impact on our learners.
