An end of term event for both bands. A preview for Durham Stars Band of what they could be joining in September. An opportunity for those leaving Durham City Wind Band to play solos. Great fun for both bands!
Singing Workshop led by The Sixteen hosted by Durham Music Choirs

Incredible free singing opportunity! Professional singers from the world famous choir, 'The Sixteen', are leading a workshop for young singers in County Durham. Hosted by Durham Music Service and the DMS Choirs, singers are invited to come along and learn some new songs, work on singing technique and learn new harmonies! Sign up if you want to come along as a one-off or if you are interested in joining one of the DMS Choirs in September! Bring a friend! (EVERYONE MUST SIGN-UP IN ADVANCE)

Durham Music Service Youth Voice Committee presents our 'Performance Showcase'. Do you sing or play an instrument? We have decided to create an event to allow you to come along and perform any piece of your choosing. This can be any level and can be accompanied or just you playing on your own. If you're a singer in a band at school, bring them along too!

Once again the DMS Consett Stars Band and Consett Wind Band are joining forces with the Glendale Choir an an evening of instrumental and vocal music.
Mass in Blue - Come and Sing

Join celebrated composer Will Todd and the Durham Music Alumni Big Band for a singing day culminating in an informal performance of Will's firm favourite 'Mass in Blue'.
Mini Miners Gala

Durham Music Brass Band will entertain the crowds at Beamish on Friday 3 July joining in the Mini Miners Gala Celebration event. This promises to be a super event with plenty to see and do whilst enjoying the brass band sounds. Transport will be provided for participants and further details of the day will be available to participants very soon.
Darlington Community Carnival

Durham Music Service groups perform on the platform stage at Hope Town as part of the annual Darlington Community Carnival! Sign up to take part in the DMS Pop-up Choir 2026! Young singers aged 9-16 can sign up and learn songs to then come together as part of the Darlington Carnival Celebrations at Hope Town. In addition to the pop-up choir there will also be the Darlington Stars Band and Darlington String Orchestra performing.
Durham Music Leavers' Gala Concert 2026

Durham Music Trust is delighted to celebrate the musical journey of some of its finest young musicians with this very special event. Durham Music's Gala Leavers' Concert will feature Durham Music Youth Orchestra, Youth Choir, Senior Wind Band, Youth Jazz and our Young Musician of the Year 2026.
Durham Regatta 2026

The DMS City Wind Band will be providing entertainment in the Riverside Marquee during the Durham Regatta Festival on Saturday 13th June 2026. This offers our musicians a wonderful opportunity to perform in a live, outdoor event. There's plenty of fun for all the family so please come along and support us.
