Momentum - Brass Festival Durham 2026

Momentum: a collaborative project with the NASUWT Brass Band and DMS brass students from Durham Johnston school, St Margaret's and Thornhill Primary Schools. Students and members of the NASUWT Brass Band have worked collaboratively in workshops, playing together a wide variety of original and traditional music in anticipation of the event at the Locomotion Museum. Celebrating the legacy of the railway, the Momentum concert promises to deliver an uplifting wealth of music, including inspired performance poetry led by Daisy Arts with students from Thornhill primary school. Street bands from the Durham Brass festival will also feature at the Big Brass Bash. We welcome all Durham Music Service families and friends to this special occasion. 6pm start, 7.15pm Mometum presentation followed by more street band music from the Durham Brass Festival.
