Graeme Danby – Professor of Music and Freelance Opera Singer

The world famous English bass, Graeme Danby born in Consett, County Durham was educated at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Graeme has performed at several of the world's leading opera houses, notably the Royal Opera House, La Scala, Covent Garden and the English National Opera. He is known for his strong, dramatic portrayals of characters in the basso profondo repertoire. Graeme appears regularly on the concert platform throughout the UK at prestigious venues and broadcasts regularly for the British Broadcasting Corporation. Graeme is Professor of Music at University of Cumbria and feels passionately that music and the performing arts have a wonderful way of making people feel good.
